Job Description
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the organisation's DevOps capability, mentor a skilled engineering team and shape the future of its infrastructure. This role blends strategic leadership with hands?on delivery-overseeing the design, implementation and management of secure, high?performance Azure environments while embedding best practices in automation, performance and security.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the DevOps team, fostering continuous improvement and skills development
Architect, build and optimise secure, scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure
Implement and refine Infrastructure?as?Code using Terraform and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines
Drive cloud security design and enforcement across identity, network and data protection
Monitor, tune and optimise infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance
Collaborate with development, security and business teams to align technical solutions with operational goals
Own incident management processes and lead root?cause analysis
Produce and maintain high?quality documentation for systems, processes and architectural designs

Education/Certifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ?104)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ?500)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ?700)

Knowledge/Skills Required

5-7 years in DevOps or infrastructure engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Proven expertise designing, deploying and operating Azure cloud environments
Advanced Infrastructure?as?Code skills (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipeline development
Strong background in cloud security controls, IAM, encryption and compliance frameworks
Experience with monitoring, performance tuning and cost?optimisation tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder?management skills; ability to mentor engineers
